PA State Inspection and Emissions in West Chester, PA

What is checked in a PA safety inspection

For passenger cars and light-duty trucks, the safety inspection checks:

• Suspension components
• Steering
• Braking systems
• Tires and wheels
• Lighting and electrical systems
• Glass, mirrors, wipers and washer
• Defroster
• Fuel systems
• Speedometer and odometer
• Exhaust system
• Horn and warning devices
• Body and chassis

We also offer enhanced safety inspections.

Emissions inspection

Emissions testing checks that your vehicle’s emissions system is working as it should. On 1996 and newer vehicles, the onboard computer has to show that its readiness monitors are set before the vehicle can be tested. A check engine light is a common reason a vehicle does not pass, and our engine diagnostics can find the cause.

You can read the full inspection criteria on our PA state inspection information page.

Before you come in
